I can make the argument for dropping IE6 the only way i know how, but i had to reach further back in time than ‘Nam:
The development team and I, you’re sending us into battle. We’re like Spartans. Everyone has the same uniform, same equipment. We’ve got some other guys going into battle with us, we’re not alone. Cpl. Firefox, Sgt. Safari, Pvt. IE7, they’re all coming with us, they’re OK. But we’re stuck with someone, the one guy that won’t go away, who just doesn’t belong. His name is IE6. IE6 is a big dumb retard.
We prepare for battle. You pass out the weapons and uniforms. Since we’re Spartans, every one of us has to be armed the same and dressed the same. We’ve got everything you could want, the cutting edge… M-16’s, Active Body Armor, Tanks, Rockets, Attack Helicopters, LandWarrior rigs, Rail Guns, everything an armchair general would drool over. But we’re stuck with someone, the one guy that won’t go away, who just doesn’t belong. His name is IE6. IE6 is a big dumb retard. He’s too dumb to use all that stuff. He can barely wipe his own butt, how can we expect him to drive a tank? He has three arms and his head his stuck up his ass, so our uniforms don’t fit him.
The result is we’re forced to hold back because of our little friend the retard. With all that is available to us, how are we sent into battle against the barbarian hordes? Wearing a bedsheet and carrying a rock and a stick.
And that’s what its like to have to deal with IE6.
